Cannabis Coffee – Wake and Bake without the Grogginess

Coffee & Weed

Recreational marijuana took to a slow start in Seattle, but the stoner culture is beginning to sweep the area and it’s not just marijuana bud that’s selling quickly. Cannabis concentrates and marijuana infused edibles have been a popular attraction. Pot enthusiasts are able to indulge without having to smoke, which provides anyone who’s health conscious with an option that’s worry free. No pipe or bong required, just a willing appetite. Of recently, cannabis coffee seems to be the new wake n’ bake phenomenon. It’s a cool way to start the morning and not have the grogginess that THC can sometimes induce.

Marijuana coffee came from a local company based in Washington and they hope to reinvent coffee for the pacific northwest. Two of Seattle’s loves, coffee and weed, what could be the downside? The beverage company is owned by a Longview resident, Adam Stites. Adam says the drink is completely legal and available in five different flavors.

The coffee will have two cold brew options. Rather than feeling tired and sleepy, the THC in cannabis coffee wakes you up and provides an uplifted feeling in the morning. He calls it the ideal head high and we call it the best wake n’ bake product to hit the market. The coffee includes enough THC to provide an enjoyable experience, available in 10 or 80 mg’s per bottle.

“We want the experience to be more similar to that if you had a nice IPA or glass of wine. We don’t want to pack so much THC into every one of our drinks that it’s unpleasant, especially for people that are just getting into marijuana.” he said.

Something that you might want to think about with cannabis coffee is the type of strain used in the brew. There are hundreds of cannabis strains out there, each deriving from an indica, sativa or hybrid marijuana plant. With the ongoing variety of marijuana strains, you can try many different types of cannabis coffee and get a different effect every time! The difference flavors available for cannabis coffee are made from a variety of unique strains.
